As part of our learning for Chapter Chat 11, we completed mini research projects about stick insects, bears or camouflage.

This week we had our learner led conferences. Our parents came to school and we led the conversations about our learning and our goals. Here is my slide deck with the learning I wanted to share.

As Connor & Blake follow the mysterious person into the galaxies snow planet and we can see the bright snow coloured moon.

Suddenly Blake fall through the soft elegant ice so Connor had to jump into help him Connor Brock the ice and pulled Blake to safety. “Are you alright” “how did it happen” yes i am alright just freezing.”

This week we have been learning about DASH? paragraphs for adventure stories.

• D = describe the setting

• A = use action
• S = use speech
• H = describe how the character is feeling
• ? = use a cliffhanger or rhetorical question

We wrote collaboratively and used a writing frame for this learning task, then we wrote our own paragraphs today
